Meet Jeff the Land Shark: From Comics to His First Animated Appearance

Jeff the Land Shark has quickly become one of MARVEL’s most adorable and unlikely fan-favorite characters. First introduced in West Coast Avengers vol. 3 #6 (October 2018), and got his name in issue West Coast Avengers vol. 3 #7 (January 2019), Jeff was created by writer Kelly Thompson and artist Daniele Di Nicuolo. This small, friendly land shark was adopted by Gwenpool (Gwen Poole), who quickly bonded with the lovable pet. Jeff’s cute yet fierce appearance, combined with his mischievous personality, made him an instant hit among comic book readers.

Jeff went on to become a regular companion to Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) in her solo adventures, showcasing not just his cuteness but also his loyalty and bravery.
