東京迪士尼海洋 於2001年的今天打開大門，是全球唯一以「海洋」為舞台的迪士尼主題樂園，當中擁有8個充滿冒險與創想的主題園區，各園區稱為「主題海港」，他們是「地中海港灣」、「美國海濱」、「發現港」、「失落河三角洲」、「阿拉伯海岸」、「美人魚礁湖」、「神祕島」和「夢幻泉鄉」，風格迥異的海港特色各自呈現於遊樂設施、娛樂表演，甚至是商店、餐飲設施的設計中，讓賓客在每次遊園皆有全新發現。

On this day in 2001, Tokyo DisneySEA opened its doors as the world’s only Disney Park themed to the myths and legends of the sea. The park features eight themed lands known as "themed ports," each filled with adventure and imagination. These ports are Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon, Mysterious Island, and Fantasy Springs. Each unique port’s design is reflected in its attractions, entertainment, and even its shops and dining options, , inviting guests to a world “Where Adventure and Imagination Set Sail”!
