業績受全球旅遊業面對史無前例困境影響
• 全球旅遊業，包括香港迪士尼樂園度假區在內，均受到疫情及封城帶來的嚴重打擊。
• 在2020財政年度，因應本地衞生部門要求及建議，樂園有約 60% 的曆日需要關閉，酒店亦只能維持有限服務。
• 基於這些不利條件，香港迪士尼全年收入下跌 76%至 14 億港元。未扣除利息、稅項、折 舊及攤銷前盈利為 負15億港元，淨虧損為 27億港元。
• 度假區管理層聚焦4大優先事項：
1. 以賓客及演藝人員的健康及安全為先：
實施多項新措施，包括減少接待客量、保持社交距離、健康檢測及配戴口罩。
2. 維持及調整營運：
為兼顧業務效益及保持賓客體驗，自2020年9月開始，樂園減少營運日子至每星期營運五日。2020財政年度總成本及支出減少41%，至29億元。
3. 創新方法增加收入：
透過樂園年票「奇妙處處通」會員計劃，擴大本地粉絲群，在2020財政年度該計劃增長8%。同時，樂園亦推出創新的食品及商品銷售渠道。截止2021財政年度上半年（開園日子計算）平均本地入場人次按年升46%。
4. 力保7,000名「演藝人員」就業
• 在這段艱難時期，華特迪士尼公司（迪士尼公司）全力支持香港迪士尼，並提供21億港元的周轉信貸。
在2021財政年度，度假區已動用部分的信貸，用作支持營運資金及業務上的需要。該信貸安排充分顯示迪士尼公司對香港社會的堅定承諾。

• 全新產品及體驗將為香港旅遊生態系統注入新動力，包括：
- 全新演繹樂園地標「奇妙夢想城堡」
- 全新日間舞台匯演「迪士尼尋夢奇緣」將於 2021年6月30日 隆重登場
- 為慶祝度假區15週年的各式各樣項目
• 度假區擁有強健基礎，期待讓賓客再次體驗迪士尼魔法。
• 然而，度假區的成功有賴樂園保持開放及放寬入境限制。
• 我們會繼續致力為「演藝人員」及賓客提供健康及安全的環境，推出多項措施，包括：
- 新冠狀病毒病檢測：為方便「演藝人員」及維持樂園穩定運作，香港迪士尼自費在度假區內設置臨時檢測樣本收集中心，令檢測過程更方便並符合政府規定。
- 疫苗接種：香港迪士尼加強教育，引入新安排支持演藝人員接種疫苗及免於檢測。
賓客持續享受樂園新體驗 對健康及安全措施具信心
• 賓客反應正面：
95%受訪樂園賓客及92%受訪酒店賓客都表示，整體體驗是「極好」、「非常好」或「良好」。
97%受訪賓客對樂園所採取的防疫措施表示讚賞。
99%受訪賓客更表示能夠在香港迪士尼安心遊玩。
• 在2019財政年度起加大力度發展粉絲群及拓展本地市場。營運日子的平均入場人次增長印證了努力：
2021 財政年度上半年，本地 (包括「奇妙處處通」會員) 增加了 31% 。「奇妙處處通」會員為28% 。
無間斷貢獻及支持本地社區
• 過去15年，香港迪士尼已經成為香港社區的一分子，累積為香港經濟帶來高達1,137億港元增加值，相等於本地生產總值的0.31%，並累計創造271,300個職位(以人工作年計算)。香港迪士尼會繼續共同為香港努力，一起重建經濟及旅遊業。
• 迪士尼義工隊透過參與不同的網上義工服務，為社區貢獻4,400小時的技能專長及義工服務。
• 香港迪士尼團隊在2020財政年度仍保持與超過200間機構合作，捐贈逾8萬張樂園門票，當中包括鼓勵小學生投入社區服務的獎勵計劃。
Highlights:
Business results during an unprecedented time for the global tourism industry
• The current situation and city lockdown impact the global tourism industry, including Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
• The park was closed for about 60% of 2020 as required and advised by local health authorities, while the resort hotels operated at adjusted service level.
• As a result of adverse conditions in FY20, revenue was down 76% to HK$1.4 billion. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was negative HK$1.5 billion, and net loss was HK$2.7 billion.
• Resort management focused on four priorities:
- Prioritising the health and safety of our guests and cast members, implementing a number of new protocols, including reduced capacity, social distancing, health screenings and required face coverings.
- Delivering magical experiences while maintaining and adjusting our operations for business efficiency.
- These efforts include reduced operations to five days per week since September 2020.
- Total costs and expenses in FY20 decreased by 41% to HK$2.9 billion.
- New ways to generate revenue
- growing the local fan base through our Magic Access loyalty programmes
- it expanded 8% in FY20, along with innovative new food and merchandise channels.
- Preserving jobs for our 7,000 cast members.
• During this challenging time, The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) provided its' full support to Hong Kong Disneyland by providing a HK$2.1 billion revolver facility.
• The resort started drawing upon this facility in FY21 to support working capital and operational needs. This facility is a great showcase of the unwavering commitment by TWDC to the Hong Kong community.
• FY20 was about recalibrating and reimagining our business for the future.

• Hong Kong Disneyland's success is heavily dependent upon continuing to stay open and the lifting of border restrictions.
• HKDL remains committed to fostering a healthy and safe environment for cast members and guests, rolling out a number of measures including:
- COVID-19 Testing
- it provides convenience to cast members and maintain operational stability
- a temporary specimen collection center has been set up on property at HKDL's expense to facilitate the testing process and comply with local Government regulations.
- Vaccination:
- HKDL has stepped up its education efforts and introduced new arrangements to support our cast in obtaining vaccinations and exemption from testing.
Guests continue to enjoy the new experiences and have confidence in our health and safety measures
• Guest reaction has been positive:
Surveys showed 95% of park guests and 92% of hotel guests reported excellent/very good/good overall experience.
97% of guests were appreciative of the preventive measures in place, and 99% felt that guests had a “care-free” visit.
• Strategic focus on developing Disney's fan base and driving the local business particularly since FY19 have seen efforts yielded good results, as evident in the attendance growth per operating day:
Local (MA inclusive) has increased by 31% in first half of 2021; 28% for MA.
Hong Kong Disneyland remains focused on contributing and supporting the local community
• Hong Kong Disneyland has been part of this community for the last 15 years, bringing approximately HK$113.7 billion of added value to the region, equivalent to 0.31% of Hong Kong’s GDP;
HKDL has created 271,300 jobs (in terms of person-years)
HKDL will continue to work together to rebuild local economy and tourism industry for the greater good of Hong Kong.
• Cast members have supported various Disney VoluntEARS programmes through online formats, contributing ~4,400 hours of skills and services for the community.
• Teams worked with 200+ organisations to provide 80,000+ complimentary park tickets in FY20, which includes impactful programmess that promote community service in primary schools.
