國家地理(National Geographic)於本港時間2021年4月22日 早上8:30 推出「Earth Day Eve 2021」網上音樂會活動,並由旅遊作家 Jessica Nabongo 擔任主持與大家迎接今年的「世界地球日」(Earth Day)。
This year, National Geographic is giving multiple ways to celebrate Earth Day at home, kicking off with the Earth Day Eve 2021 virtual concert available exclusively on the National Geographic YouTube page or at http://natgeo.com/earthdayeve.
Hosted by Jessica Nabongo, the Earth Day Eve 2021 celebration will span the globe with visually stunning performances from some of the most beautiful places in the world.
Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
This virtual party will feature performances by AURORA, Angélique Kidjo, José González, Maggie Rogers, My Morning Jacket, Rostam, Valerie June, Willie Nelson, Yo-Yo Ma, and Ziggy Marley. Plus, special appearances from National Geographic Explorers Brian Skerry, Dr. Jane Goodall, Lillygol Sedaghat, Dr. Lucy Hawkes, and Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant.
Secrets of the Whales
A highlight of the event will include National Geographic Explorer and photographer Brian Skerry will preview the new four-part Disney+ original series, “Secrets of the Whales,” from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer at Large James Cameron. Narrated by award-winning actress and conservationist Sigourney Weaver, the series from National Geographic takes viewers deep within the epicenter of whale culture to experience the extraordinary communication skills and intricate social structures of whales. The series will anchor National Geographic’s activities on Earth Day and becomes available on Disney+ at 12 p.m. PDT on April 22, 2021.
