Reimagined Entrance Fountain at EPCOT

Historic Transformation of EPCOT Continues......

Gleaming pylons are part of the new fountain in development at the base of Spaceship Earth in EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.  When the fountain is completed later this year, it will have a new lighting package as part of the new welcome experience for guests as they enter the park.

Three majestic new pylons were installed in the main entrance plaza of EPCOT, which is the footprint of the original that welcomed guests on the park’s opening day in 1982, at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Aug. 11, 2020, as part of the park’s ongoing, multiyear transformation.

EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is undergoing a historic transformation, bringing the next generation of immersive storytelling to life through a plethora of new attractions and experiences. Epcot will be unified with four neighborhoods that take guests to new destinations where the real is made fantastic in a celebration of curiosity, discovery and the magic of possibility.
