首三季收入及利潤增長強勁

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Posts Solid Revenue in Fiscal 2019

Strong revenue and profit growth in first nine months

(2020年3月16日香港訊) 香港迪士尼樂園度假區(香港迪士尼)今日公佈2019財政年度業績。重點如下：

• 2019財政年度首9個月業績表現强勁，收入按年上升11%，未扣除利息、稅項、折舊及攤銷前盈利 EBITDA 增長20%，淨純利增幅則高達3倍。

• 同期樂園入場人次
入場人次上升5%，而酒店入住率按年增加8個百分點。
由於香港旅遊業在2019財政年度第四季，亦即是夏季旅遊旺季期間，面對市場逆轉的影響，訪港旅客大幅下跌，香港迪士尼季內業績亦受到打擊。

• 「奇妙處處通」表現破紀錄
多項會員尊享活動帶動，奇妙處處通會員人均入場次數錄得近 8

次的新高，而會員總入場人次及總消費亦破紀錄。

• 截至2019年9月28日年結日，香港迪士尼全年收入與2018財政年度相若，

維持約60億港元。樂園賓客人均消費按年上升4%，連續十年創新高。

• 樂園全年入場人次
按年下跌4%至650萬，自2005年度假區開幕以來，累計總入場人次已超過8 300萬。全年酒店入住率為74%。受到年內第四季的業務影響，全年未扣除利息、稅項、折舊及攤銷前盈利下跌 17%至 11億港元，淨虧損為 1.05 億港元。

• 過去一年到訪香港迪士尼的賓客
41%本地賓客，33% 及 26% ( 中國內地及其他市場)
來自日本、南韓、泰國賓客的賓客均錄得雙位數字增長。

• 「蟻俠與黃蜂女:撃戰特攻!」( 2019 年 3 月 31 日開幕) 及「迪士尼反斗夏日—大玩水花 」表現

相比樂園整體賓客組合，該遊樂設施的年輕及男性賓客比例多出 10 個百分點。

• 未來動向
華麗變身後的城堡，將會呈獻新夜間大型演出和日間表演節目。
短期内推出多個精彩項目，融入更多迪士尼、彼思及 Marvel 中最新角色及故事，當中包括蟻俠、黃蜂女，及黑寡婦將與賓客見面。
《魔雪奇緣2》中安娜與愛莎亦將會在全新演出項目中出現。
迪士尼•彼思動畫《1⁄2的魔法》的角色及迪士尼公主亦會在樂園現身。

Today, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) reported business results for fiscal year 2019 (FY19). Key points are as follows:

• A strong trajectory in the first nine months of FY19 saw revenue up by 11 percent year- on-year, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) up by 20 percent and net profit increasing fourfold.

• Attendance growth
During the same period, attendance grew by 5% and hotel occupancy increased by 8% points year-over-year.

• As Hong Kong’s tourism industry faced significant headwinds in the fourth quarter of FY19, a key summer travel period, with visitor arrivals dropping considerably, HKDL’s performance during the same period was also adversely affected.

• Annual attendance
decreased 4% to 6.5 million, HKDL has welcomed more than 83 million guests since the park opened in 2005.
For the full year, hotel occupancy stood at 74%.
Due to the FY19 fourth quarter impact, full year EBITDA was down 17% to HK$1.1 billion, resulting in a net loss of HK$105 million.

• Guest distributions
The resort welcomed 41% locals, 33% mainland China and 26% other market. Attendance growth in Japan, South Korea and Thailand remained strong with double-digit growth in each market.

• "Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!" and "Toy Story & Pixar Pals Summer Splash" performances
Multi-year expansion began with the opening of “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!” on March 31, 2019.
This attraction exhibits a 10% point higher mix of young adult and male guests versus the overall guest mix of the park.

• Future plans
The transformed castle will be followed by nighttime spectacular and daytime shows.
HKDL will soon launch a number of amazing offerings, which will feature the most popular characters and stories from Disney, Pixar and Marvel.
This includes a debut character appearance for Ant-Man and The Wasp, Black Widow
All-new show featuring Anna and Elsa from Frozen 2, and character appearances for the new Disney•Pixar movie Onward, as well as a variety of Disney Princesses.

香港迪士尼樂園度假區行政總裁楊善妮表示:

我們善用迪士尼深受歡迎的電影推出全新項目及特備活動，如『蟻俠與黃蜂女:擊戰特攻!』及『迪士尼反斗夏日—大玩水花』，並取得驕人成績。

「迪士尼反斗夏日—大玩水花」活動及一系列會員尊享項目，帶動奇妙處處通會員的入場人次、人均入場次數及總消費均創新高。在廣深港高速鐵路和港珠澳大橋開通後的首個農曆新年期間，度假區所推出的節慶項目亦深受來自鄰近地區的賓客愛戴。

兩項在香港迪士尼舉行的戶外演唱會活動，吸引了近17萬名來自香港、中國內地及其他亞洲地區觀眾到場。當中包括2019年4月格林美獎得獎歌手Ed Sheeran的演唱會，及台灣樂隊五月天於2019年5月再度重臨所舉行的六場演唱會。

香港迪士尼連續第三年舉辦全港最大型跑步活動之一的「10K Weekend」，主題為彼思故事及好友，整體報名人數及海外參加者人數較上次同一跑步活動分別增加 20%及4%。

展望前景，楊善妮表示:

隨著『奇妙夢想城堡』在2020年揭幕及其後推出的『魔雪奇緣』全新園區，我們有信心克服當前的挑戰，並繼續發揮香港迪士尼的長遠潛力。

“Our strategy of launching new offerings and seasonal events that leverage Disney’s popular movie releases, such as ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle!’ and ‘Toy Story & Pixar Pals Summer Splash’, yielded great results,” said Stephanie Young, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

In fiscal year 2019, the “Toy Story & Pixar Summer Splash” event together with other member-exclusive offerings drove record-high attendance, visits per guest and total spending from the Magic Access annual pass program. HKDL’s first Chinese New Year celebrations after the launch of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge were also highly popular among guests from neighboring cities.

Two outdoor concert events attracted a combined audience of nearly 170,000 from Hong Kong, mainland China and the rest of Asia. They included Grammy award-winning artist Ed Sheeran’s concert in April 2019 and Mayday’s return to the venue for six shows the following month.

For the third consecutive year, HKDL hosted the 10K Weekend, one of the largest running events in Hong Kong. Themed to popular Pixar stories and characters, overall enrolment and non-local participation increased by 20 percent and four percent respectively, compared to the prior-year event.

除此之外，香港迪士尼亦致力為病童、青年及本地社群帶來歡樂和啟迪創意的項目。香港兒童醫院在2019年6月正式開幕，在華特迪士尼公司資助下的「童康服」計劃，生產了超過26,000件全新住院病童服，以滿足病童的特殊需要。

度假區亦推出了一項重要的環保計劃，安裝了全港最大的太陽能發電系統，相比本港第二大的太陽能系統，提供多 7 成潔淨能源。

HKDL is committed to contributing to Hong Kong and serving the local community. In the past 14 years of operations combined, HKDL brought approximately HK$108.5 billion of value-added to Hong Kong’s economy, equivalent to 0.33% of Hong Kong’s GDP, and cumulatively created 269,500 jobs (in terms of man-years), benefiting Hong Kong’s overall economy.

HKDL strives to contribute to the local community by showcasing Disney values and leveraging the strengths of its cast members. In fiscal year 2019, HKDL worked with 400 organisations to provide more than 100,000 complimentary park visits for people in need. We have also contributed over 100,000 hours of skills and services through Disney VoluntEAR programs since park opening in 2005.

HKDL is dedicated to bringing happiness by inspiring and fulfilling the dreams of children with illnesses and special needs, youth and the overall community. With the official opening of the Hong Kong Children’s Hospital in June 2019, over 26,000 pieces of new in-patient clothing were produced thanks to The Walt Disney Company-funded project “Dress Well,” addressing the unique needs of child patients.

Finally, the resort also launched a major conservation initiative as we installed Hong Kong’s largest solar power system, with 70 percent more clean electricity than the next largest facility.

香港迪士尼樂園是由香港特別行政區政府及華特迪士尼公司所屬的子公司合資成立的香港國際主題樂園有限公司所擁有。香港特區政府持有主題樂園公司的股權約 53%，餘下的 47% 股權則由迪士尼公司持有。

Hong Kong Disneyland is owned by Hongkong International Theme Parks Limited, which is a joint venture between the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government owns a 53% majority interest in the joint venture, with The Walt Disney Company owning the remaining 47%.
