On 28 February, the all-new “Magic Happens” parade will arrive at Disneyland park.
Disney has just shared a video showing various stunning floats, beloved Disney characters, artistic costumes and energetic musical score. The one and only Mickey will be appearing in the parade’s whimsical opening sequence. Gliding at the helm of an iridescent magical hat along on glistening swirls of magic. Of course, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n Dale, and a group of dazzling, eclectic "magic makers" performers will be carrying this daytime spectacular.
There are also Moana float with a 32-foot-long flower-covered sailboat riding a sweeping blue wave. The wave will be filled with LED screens that offer glimpses of animated images of familiar ocean-based Disney and Pixar characters. The demigod Maui will follow on his own island float.
Coco float comes with the bridge dripping with marigold flowers that connects the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead. As always, Miguel plays his guitar and skeletons performers on stage, this recreates a scene from the film.
The famous Frozen float is designed to have the enchanted forest likeness from the “Frozen 2”. Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven will be joining everyone in the parade.
Towering castle turrets dot the Sleeping Beauty finale float as Princess Aurora dances with Prince Phillip. Celebrating the awe-inspiring moments of magic with the fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. Aurora’s shimmering gown will change colors from pink to blue and back again.
Don't forget floats featuring Tiana and Naveen from “The Princess and the Frog,” Merlin the wizard and young Arthur from “Sword in the Stone” and Cinderella with her Fairy Godmother at the end of the parade.
Disney also partnered with the opening choreography by Emmy winner Tassandra Chavez, makeup design by the Emmy-nominated David Petruschin, and costumes designed by Disney Parks’ Matthew Davidson.
Disney also gave us a first look at the "Magic Happens" merchandise.
