First day - Magic Happens Parade at Disneyland

Finally! Nearly a decade, a brand new daytime parade has graced the streets of Main Street U.S.A. at Disneyland today! The last parade "Mickey’s Soundsational Parade" enchanted its' Disney magic for the last time on July 18, 2019.

This joyous “Magic Happens” opens to the public on February 28th, 2020. With the help of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios, this incredible new parade comes to life with stunning floats, energetic music, artistic costumes. Mickey Mouse Magic Happens Float

Mickey sparkles this Magic Happens Parade, Mickey always is the grand finale in most parades. This time, Mickey wears on his unique sorcerer-element outfit, riding atop a giant sorcerer’s hat with his friends Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Chip ‘n Dale.

Moana and Maui Magic Happens Floats

Moana and Maui have their own float. Moana highlights the Wayfinder’s Canoe with an ocean wave and her grandmother’s spirit animal, the manta ray. This creates the genuine look of a carved from Koa wood. Maui makes his official Disneyland Resort debut in any parade with Moana’s adorable pet pig, Pua. Joining Kakamora dancers with animatronic Hei Hei.

Coco Magic Happens Float

The bridge between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead lights up as Miguel strums Ernesto de la Cruz’s guitar. Dante is also present appears on the bridge. Dancers dressed as alebrije.

Frozen 2 Magic Happens Float

Bisected by the enchanted forest, the float is led by Nokk, the water spirit. There is no completion without Anna and Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven. Designed with the movie’s creative team, Elsa will make snow at the float.

Magic Happens Grand Finale

"Magic Happens" is more than a name for the parade, it includes a fantastical finale and pays homage to the Disney classics. This segment has a different song from the main parade theme. This song includes several references to Disney classics, ranging from “Wishes” to “Remember the Magic”. Some long-awaited characters include Genie, Aladdin, Tinker Bell, Peter Pan, Blue Fairy, Pinocchio and Fairy Godmother will be meeting guests in the parade.
