Update on January 23, 2020 - In view of the latest development of the novel coronavirus infection, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), after careful consideration of the need to protect the health and safety of local residents, visitors, performing groups and working staff, has decided to cancel the Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Carnival, which was scheduled to be held from 25 January to 28 January 2020.

適逢今年是生肖之首鼠年，香港旅遊發展局（旅發局）將以全新形式舉辦 第25屆「國泰航空新春國際匯演」。由以往只於農曆大年初一晚舉行的匯演，變身為 農曆大年初一（1 月25日）至年初四（1 月28 日）、一連四天日夜舉行的大型嘉年華。
今屆「新春國際匯演」為期四天，入場費用全免。「新春國際匯演」踏入第25屆銀禧之年，主辦單位邀請國際及本地表演團隊每天都會沿西九文化區的海濱巡遊表演，雲集26 支國際表演隊伍，是歷年最多國際表演團隊。旅客及市民可以香港天際線為背景，在現場不同款式的「打卡位」前拍照留念。今屆更首辦新春賀年市集，約有15 個美食及藝趣攤位。
香港迪士尼樂園度假區（Hong Kong Disneyland Resort）亦參與今屆「新春國際匯演」，並在會場設置「福到賀鼠年」舞蹈表演及拍照攤位，祝願大家奇妙年年。
