[D23 Expo 2019] Disney+ shows - What we've learned so far (Complete list)
The one and only D23 Expo 2019 has finally come and given us a plethora of details regarding Disney+, Disney upcoming projects, Marvel Studio and Star Wars. Let's start with the new streaming service.
Original Series
1. "One Day at Disney" (December 3, 2019)
The series will bring viewers into the stories of Disney employees around the world. It will also be made into a coffee table book by Disney Publishing to showcase these stories — the magic of the cast members and employees.

2. "The World According to Jeff Goldblum" (November 12, 2019)
It's Goldblum's idea to come up with this title. 12 episodes in total and Goldblum will analyze a new topic in every episode. From ice cream to tattoos, swimming pools, denim, bicycles.
This series is suitable for a wide range of audience, specifically, the fans of Goldblum. It is the first time ever for National Geograph producers to bring Goldblum's experiences in front of the camera.
Going into a sneaker convention and giving someone a tattoo at a tattoo parlor in Pittsburgh are no strangers in this show. He interviewed Ben and Jerry in one of the episodes, followed by trying flavors like Chunky Monkey and Cherry Garcia.

"Noelle" is a holiday comedy featuring Anna Kendrick and Billy Eichner. Kendrick (plays as Noelle, the daughter of Santa himself) has a brother Nick, he is the heir to the sleigh and feels pressure for taking the mantle of Santa Claus. Her brother doesn't return after taking a break, Noelle must embark on an adventure to save her brother.
4. "Togo" (December 2019)
This original film will tell the true story of a 1925 dogsled journey to transport life-saving serum over 700 wintery miles in Alaska. Togo will star Willem Dafoe.
5. "Diary of a Female President" (January 2020)
This series is a half-hour, single-camera comedy tells the story of a young Cuban-American girl who eventually becomes President of the United States — and it does so through her childhood diary. Gina Rodriguez is Executive Producer of the series and will guest star alongside the show’s star, Tess Romero.
6. "Lizzie McGuire" (Date: TBC)
Lizzie McGuire is returning to Disney+ with the original shows creator Terri Minsky as the showrunner. The series will focus on the 30 years old Hillary Duff's life in New York City.
7. "Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made" (Date: TBC early 2020)
The film is based on the best-selling book series of the same name and brings the funny as Timmy Failure and his polar bear sidekick, Total, run Total Failure Inc. That’s a fictional, animated, Portland-based detective agency, in case you were looking for one.

From the voice actor of "Frozen" princess Anna, Kristen Bell brings the unscripted series "Encore" to the platform as Executive Producer. The show reunites former classmates to recreate musicals from their high school years. With the help of Broadway's best — pulling off a standing-ovation-worthy performance of beloved musicals like "The Sound of Music," "Beauty and the Beast," "Annie" and more. Speaking of high school, let's dive into some more great stuff!
10. "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" (November 12, 2019)
The series is the start of something new. Following the footsteps of its' predecessor, the trailer gives us a first glimpse of characters like Ricky (Joshua Bassett), Nini (Olivia Rodrigo), and E.J. (Matt Cornett) in action. Ricky is trying to start over again with his ex-girlfriend Nini even if she is in a relationship with E.J. now.

Chip ‘n’ Dale is currently in production and developed by Disney’s London-based animation team. In collaboration with Xilam Animation in Paris, the series is directed by Jean Cayrol and produced by Marc du Pontavice. Each episode length 7 minutes with a total of 39 episodes. The series is a non-verbal comedy featuring classic story arc like the Mickey Mouse mini-series on Disney XD.

16. "Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe" (Date: TBC)
The movie is currently under development and produced by the original creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. Phineas and Ferb travel across the galaxy to rescue their sister Candace, who has been abducted by aliens and has found utopia in a far-off planet, free of pesky little brothers.

17. "Into the Unknown: Making Frozen 2" (Date: TBC 2020)
As never before in its near-century long history, Walt Disney Animation Studios is opening its doors, allowing cameras to capture in intimate detail how the voice cast, directors, and team of artists come together to create “Frozen 2.” This multi-episode documentary series shows the hard work, imagination, heart, fun and intensity that go into making one of the most highly-anticipated Disney Animation features of all time.

18. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" (February 2020)
The latest season of the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars will debut on Disney+ and feature 12 episodes. Returning characters include Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and Anakin Skywalker.

The first-ever live-action Star Wars series is written and executive-produced by Emmy-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) directing the first episode. The highly anticipated series features an all-star cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. Set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order, the series follows a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. 20. Untitled Cassian Andor Series (Date: TBC 2021)
Diego Luna will reprise his role of rebel spy Cassian Andor in this series set during the formative years of the Rebellion prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire. Alan Tudyk will also reprise his role as K-2SO with Stephen Schiff (The Americans) as showrunner and executive producer.
21. "Star Wars Obi Wan Kenobi Series" (Date: TBC)
D23 surprise announcement brought out actor Ewan McGregor, who will be reprising his role Obi-Wan Kenobi in the series. It is under development and currently untitled, the script has been written and set to begin production next year. Check out What's on Disney Plus.com for more.

22. "Marvel's Hero Project " (November 12, 2019)
The reality series looks at positive change several young people are making in their own communities by dedicating their lives to selfless acts. In Hero Project, Marvel celebrates them as superheroes in the real world. Check out this article for more.
23. "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" (Fall 2020)
Closely tied to events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Anthony Mackie suits up Sam Wilson (aka the Falcon). After the event of Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers passed the iconic shield to Falcon. Sebastian Stan (aka Bucky Barnes) joins side-by-by with Falcon to fight the evil and counter the unexpected threat. Daniel Bruhl will reprise his role of Zemo from Captain America: Civil War.
24. "Marvel's 616" (Fall 2020)
This documentary series will explore the intersection between Marvel's stories, characters and creators and the real world. Each documentary will dive into the historical and cultural context to the stories of the Marvel Universe.
25. "WandaVision" (Spring 2021)
Elizabeth Olsen will return as Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany as Vision. Marvel has called this show a "mega event series" for Disney Plus.
WandaVision takes place after the event of Avengers: Endgame, the series will include Teyonah Parris playing adult Monica Rambeau, the child appeared in Captain Marvel. The series will directly lead to Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness (May 2021) event.

26. "Loki" (Spring 2021)
Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki, saying it will feature the version of Loki seen in 2012's first Avengers film. Loki appeared to be killed by Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War, but Endgame's "time heist" plot showed Loki in 2012 snatching the Tesseract/Space Stone and teleporting away. The Loki series will explain what happened to Hiddleston's character right after that, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said. Hiddleston also said the series version of Loki reflects the mischievous version seen in The Avengers, not the reformed Loki seen in Thor: Ragnarok.
27. " Marvel's What If...? " (Summer 2021)
Marvel Studios' first animated series takes inspiration from the comic books of 80 years of rich history. Each episode will explore a pivotal moment from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and lead the audience into alternate realities.
MCU actors will serve as voice talent. Michael B. Jordan and Chadwick Boseman return, a Black Panther alternate reality with Jordan's villain Kilmonger. Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Taika Waititi, Jeff Goldblum and Natalie Portman will join the series as well.
From the D23 Expo, we get to know more about Peggy Carter (voiced by Hayley Atwell) as Captain in an alternate world. Dominic Cooper will be reprising young Howard Stark Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas will voice their Ant-Man roles, same goes to Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury.

Picking up the end of Avengers: Endgame, the Hawkeye (actor Jeremy Renner) seems to be passing the mantle to Kate Bishop, depicted from the 2015 Marvel comics "All-New Hawkeye". Exploring the character's time as Ronin, Renner said, "I get to teach someone else how to be a superhero without superpowers" at 2019 San Diego Comic-Con.

Disney+ will be the exclusive home of SparkShorts, the Pixar Animation Studios short film series designed to discover new storytellers and explore new storytelling techniques from across the studio.
31. Untitled Walt Disney Imagineering Documentary Series (November 12, 2019)
The documentary series chronicles the 65-year history of Walt Disney Imagineering, looking at the people involved, their craft and the business. The series includes exclusive interviews and never-before-seen footage from Disney's parks worldwide.
32. "Be Our Chef" (Date: TBC 2020)
This reality competition hosted by Angela Kinsey invites families from diverse backgrounds to join a Disney-inspired cooking content at Walt Disney World. In each episode, two families will participate in a themed challenge mixing Disney into their family traditions. The finalists will apply what they have learned to create a dish that represents their family in a Disney way.
33. "Magic of Animal Kingdom" (Date: TBC 2020)
This reality series will follow the teams of more than 1,000 animal-care experts, vets and biologists at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and Epcot's SeaBase aquarium.

Iconic Art of the Movies (working title) – Cinema Relics is an anthology series that takes a unique look at beloved films through the props & costumes (now modern ‘artifacts’) that made them unique – from the craftspeople who created them, the actors who interacted with them, and the collectors/archives who own and cherish them. The show will be hosted by film historian/collector Dan Lanigan. Among the films featured in the first eight episodes are “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Muppet Movie,” “Tron” and “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” CINEMA RELICS is produced by ABC Studios, Alternative and executive produced by Jason Henry and Dan Lanigan.

A new competition series featuring teams of inventive students, who are tasked with designing, building, and testing new contraptions.
