Commemorates Year of the Dog
with Traditional Chinese New Year Celebrations
正月初一，上海迪士尼度假區 以特別的中國傳統舞獅儀式開啟吉祥狗年，為遊客送上充滿年味的新春祝福。上海迪士尼度假區 總經理 郭偉誠（Philippe Gas）身着特別設計的中國傳統服飾，與「財神」布魯托、米奇 和 米妮 等「迪士尼朋友」一起為兩隻瑞獅點睛，恭祝遊客和度假區的「演職人員」吉祥好運。
Shanghai Disney Resort today celebrated the first day of the Year of the Dog with a Chinese traditional ceremony bringing fortune and prosperity to guests. Joined by God of Fortune Pluto, as well as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Philippe Gas, general manager of Shanghai Disney Resort – dressed in his specially made Chinese traditional suit – dotted the eyes of two lions, awakening them for the New Year and spreading good luck and cheer to resort guests and cast members.
郭偉誠 表示：「非常高興與我們的遊客共同開啟吉祥狗年，祝福大家新年健康如意。上海迪士尼度假區 在雞年實現了眾多里程碑，並將在新的一年為遊客帶去更多的迪士尼神奇。狗年對於我們是充滿期待的一年，遊客將體驗到我們全新的景點和更多驚喜。上海迪士尼樂園 的第七大主題園區『迪士尼•皮克斯 玩具總動園』將於春天與大家見面，而另一部備受讚譽的百老匯音樂劇《美女與野獸》的全新中文版將於夏季在『華特迪士尼大劇院』開演。」
“We are delighted to celebrate a promising start to the Chinese New Year with our guests and wish everyone a healthy and prosperous Year of the Dog,” Gas said. “The Year of the Rooster saw many milestones at Shanghai Disney Resort and looking at the year ahead, we are thrilled about all of the Disney magic that’s in store for our guests. The Year of the Dog will be a bright year for us all, with new attractions and other great surprises for our guests. Our 7th themed land, Disney•Pixar Toy Story Land, will open this spring, and another award-winning hit Broadway musical, a Mandarin production of Beauty and the Beast, will come to life at the Walt Disney Grand Theatre this summer.”
