迪士尼《吹夢的巨人》（Disney's “The BFG”；台譯：《吹夢巨人》）由今天起在本港各大戲院正式上映，《The BFG》指的是「Big Friendly Giant」（友善的巨人），本部電影是 金像大導演 史提芬史匹堡（Steven Spielberg）首度為 迪士尼 執導的電影作品。
夢幻組合，迪士尼 加 金像大導演 史提芬史匹堡（Steven Spielberg）加 英國殿堂級著名作家羅爾德達爾（Roald Dahl），三大說故事高手集結，把全球書迷期待多年、羅爾德達爾 暢銷經典名著《The BFG》搬上大銀幕。這個天馬行空、充滿想像力的故事，在史匹堡大師級掌舵配以最先進 CG 新電影特技下，將會活靈活現觀眾眼前！
故事大綱（Story Synopsis）：
在倫敦孤兒院長大的10歲女孩 蘇菲，偶爾被神秘巨人帶往巨人國度，起初惶恐不安以為自己會成為巨人晚餐，卻發現這個巨人 BFG 原來十分善良，還跟隨他去捕捉和吹送奇妙夢境。兩個來自不同世界的孤單同路人，相處下來感情日益深厚。但 蘇菲 在巨人國度出沒，卻引起了其他食人巨怪對她虎視眈眈，人類世界的孩童也接二連三神秘失蹤。蘇菲 與 BFG 為此趕赴倫敦求見英女王，謀求大家合力對付爆發在即的巨人危機！
The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming, and, having never met a giant before, has many questions. The BFG brings Sophie to Dream Country where he collects dreams and sends them to children, teaching her all about the magic and mystery of dreams. Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows. But Sophie’s presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Sophie and the BFG soon depart for London to see the Queen (Penelope Wilton) and warn her of the precarious giant situation, but they must first convince the Queen and her maid, Mary (Rebecca Hall), that giants do indeed exist. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all.

Originally created as a bedtime story, “The BFG” was Dahl’s own favorite of all his stories. Disney's “The BFG” opens in U.S. theaters on July 1, 2016, the year that marks the 100th anniversary of Dahl’s birth.
