根據知名娛樂媒體《Entertainment Weekly》的報導指出，在《星球大戰》（Star Wars）電影系列中飾演Han Solo的巨星夏里遜福（Harrison Ford）將會在2016年2月21日推出的加洲迪士尼樂園「60週年鑽禧慶典」特別節目《The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60》中向各位星戰迷分享有關《星球大戰》主題園區的最新消息。另外，當日亦邀請了Elton John、Josh Gad 以及 Witney Carson 擔任主持，節目會在華特迪士尼公司（The Walt Disney Company）旗下的美國廣播公司（American Broadcasting Company，簡稱ABC）播出。

《星球大戰》主題園區將會分別在加洲迪士尼樂園度假區（Disneyland Resort）的加洲迪士尼樂園（Disneyland park）以及華特迪士尼世界度假區（Walt Disney World Resort）的迪士尼好萊塢影城（Disney's Hollywood Studios）內興建，開幕日期有待公佈。
